Lark Straye had another name once. Under that name, she was raised by Glemy Toto's Neo Zeon as a weapon of war, but was not considered battle-ready before his death. Under that name, she stayed in Zeon, joined Char Aznable's rebellion - and ran away from a miracle, withdrawing rather than join the unity of purpose that the Axis Shock represented. But Lark does not talk about her other name or her history, hiding herself behind someone else's name and past, and her face behind a mask that seems to give her some confidence. She is poor at expressing or understanding her emotions, coming off as cold and distant, easy to anger, or prickly, but it hides a deeper loneliness that she does not admit, even to herself. Having few skills off the battlefield, she has returned to it once again, joining Londo Bell for reasons she is not inclined to share.

Background

According to Federation databases, Lark Straye lived on Neo-Britannia before Char Aznable's rebellion and the Axis Shock, during which it left the Earth Sphere. Details are hard to come by, because most of them went with Neo-Britannia.

She joined Londo Bell in 0096, and despite her age (18) has proven to be an experienced pilot. Because of this, and her use of a repurposed Geara Doga's sword-axe, she is rumoured to have fought for Char at Axis Shock, but if she did those records are sealed.

Particularly nosy people may come to the conclusion that these records don't add up, but with Neo-Britannian records no longer being available, it's difficult to prove otherwise.

Resources

Lark has few resources aside from what Londo Bell assigns her.
