  • Summary: Alouette wakes up.

After the tumultuous events in Tsutsujidai, which cut well into the early hours of the next day, division ship Wadatsumi, Alouette Pommier in tow, makes a quick stop around Lyon, France.

Alouette spends the next couple of days with her mother. She had previously convinced herself that the only way she could keep her safe from BioNet was by running away. As she treasures each moment with her beloved mother, she decides she wants to use her own courage to protect her - that she is capable of that much. She should visit more often.

Nonetheless, she explains that she has been keeping well, that a friend had been taking care of her. It’s not entirely wrong. In its own twisted way what Akane showed her was care, wasn’t it? Sometimes, she stares at that cellphone, a keepsake from Tsutsujidai. Her final message to Akane remains unread…

November 21, 0096, Alouette returns to her post on Orbit Base. It’s as if she’s glowing, as she takes in the familiar sights and sounds she left behind over a month ago; as she is welcomed back with a warm kindness she didn’t think she deserved. In her personal quarters, left totally untouched since she left, a uniform hangs in the closet. Dressing in those layers upon layers and fluffing up her curls, Alouette heads for the Main Order Room.

Just about immediately, a flash of pink heads her way - her partner operator Hana Hatsuno! “ALOUUUUEEEETTE!” She cries, tears streaming from her face. Alouette lets her shorter senior pull her into an embrace. “Might going out for dessert make up for all that work I left behind for you? My treat of course.” She lightly teases, with a cry-laugh from Hana. “Really, though… I’m so glad to be back, Hana-chan.” She stares off distantly for a second before her smile returns. Those near-two months are weighing heavily on her but… this is a happy occasion.

Now that she’s returned, there’s quite a lot to be done - people she wants to see. All of the damage she did to the systems, including the Program Drive, as demonstrated in the battle, seems to be back up and running. Still, she should definitely apologize to the Three Doctors, considering all the overtime work Guy implied they did.

She returns to her terminal, which was left in the temporary care of Ayame Ushiyama, and enters her restored credentials. Her first action is to file some research about a curious old technology left behind by BioNet, that 3G repurposed approximately five years ago…
