- Summary: Eight gets to see the Haro Shrine! It's exactly as amazing as promised.

Anita's Haro collection has always been important to her. Back when she had a room of her own, this was based in her bedroom... but, now that she and Rena are sharing a room, it has been set up instead in their room's living area.
That Anita would be willing to make that sacrifice is certainly a sign of how serious she is. Still, it's just one of those touches that mark this as a shared living space - a space that's wholly 'Anita', living in harmony with the spaces that are 'Rena' and those that are a combination of the two. Evidence that they're both here, influencing this space with their own personal touches in a way that improves the whole.
...It does, conveniently, also make it easier for visiting guests to see and it's an impressive sight - a wall of Haros, painted Haro shells for swapping in and out, and Haro memorabilia. It's a collection that Anita has been building for quite some time. A number of them have special designs commemorating certain events, while still others are just limited edition models. Truly, a collection worthy of being called a Haro Shrine... And today, they have a guest!
"Come on, everyone, wake up. Eight's here to see you!" Anita announces. At her word, there's stirring from the wall. Some of them elect to stubbornly continue sleeping... but others do awaken. Hopping down from their respective shelves with a chorus of 'Hello! Hello!', there are Haros painted in gold and silver, those in red, green, and blue, one with a rainbow-painted shell... and even a green Haro bearing the Kakapo Squadron emblem.
And of course, Anita's childhood companion, a sea green Haro, has already been by her side this whole time. Followed by the crowd Anita moves to take a seat on the couch, and turns to offer Eight a grin.
"What do you think? I feel like it's gotten even better since we moved in." Anita comments.

Getting to see Anita's Haro collection in its current state is a big deal for Eight! She's walking along--well, trying to walk, it's not the most graceful anymore--and she walks through that living space. She marels a little at the way their spaces have mixed already--but marvels more at the wall of Haros before her.
"Wow..."
"It's even better than it used to be!"
And Annie announces to wake them up. Eight can't help but smile even at the stbborn ones. "Hello!" Eight answers back, waving at each little Haro. The colors, the rainbow, the Kakapo Squadron Haro...
"I think you're right!" Eight answers, with a smile, coming to take a seat nearby. "They're wonderful. I think this is great!"
"Maybe I should have my new Haro learn from some of yours," she considers.
She smiles to the sea green Haro especially.
"Your space is really shaping up!"

Anita is right there to help give Eight a hand if she needs it, of course. She knows it's not the easiest thing for her right now, but it means a lot that she's still interested in hanging out. Anita grins, chuckling as Eight marvels at the Haro Shrine.
"Glad you think so." Anita replies at the compliment. Eight's greeting back is met positively by the Haro squad. Some of them bounce up and down cheerfully in a circle, while still others climb up onto the couch to share the space with them.
"I'm glad." Anita replies, looking pleased. "Rena helped me set it up. It was kind of a big task moving them all at once, even for a Haro superfan like me..."
She laughs a little, then grins.
"Might not be a bad idea. These little guys... I've taught 'em a lot. I'm sure they'd be happy to pass on what they know. Especially Haro, here." Anita says, patting the sea green Haro - the rest are named according to their design, but only her original is named just 'Haro'. Eight compliments their space, and Anita looks pleased at that, too.
"Thanks. It took us a bit to get everything set up, but we're pretty happy about how it turned out." She replies. "It really feels like home now, you know?"

Eight's needed one now and then on the trip over--just a steadying hand. Anita's strength helps that. But she wouldn't miss getting a chance to see this, and...
And the doctors tell her that the babies are more likely to come sooner if she stays at least a little active.
She smiles to Anita and her Haros. "They're so cute..."
Rena helped. "Well, one thing she's good at is making tasks easier."
She's still smiling as hse considers, "I think I'll do that, then. Next time I have the chance. I want a Haro who's supposed to help with my kids to have the best help it can." She looks right at taht original Haro. "Thanks in advance, Haro."
Then... "You should be!" Happy, that is. "I do know. Getting to share your space like that... It takes some adjustment, but it's really worth it, isn't it?"

Anita grins, and some of the Haros, even with their limited facial expressions, manage to look quite proud.
"Eight! Cute! Cute!" The Kakapo Squadharo chimes back. Anita chuckles at that - and then grins, at Eight's comment.
"She sure is. Sometimes a little too good at it. But that's why she's got us to make sure she takes it easy every now and then." Anita replies. She nods, then.
"You've come to the right place, then. Haro here was practically built for taking care of kids." Anita replies, then pauses. "...And by practically I mean, uh, literally. I owe it a lot for looking after me after my surgery."
She grins as Eight agrees and then, looks thoughtful for a moment.
"Yeah, it really is. It's been, uh... I've been really happy." Anita admits with a small sheepish laugh. "It took kind of a while since I've been on my own so long, but... once you get used to living with someone, you kinda start wondering how you ever managed otherwise, you know? Literally life-changing."

"Right," Eight agrees about Rena, and looks around some more at the Haros. There's always more to look at, with how many of them there are, and how many different colors.
"I should've brought it along," she reflects. Then, "I remember, though. I remember how important Haro's been to you, too."
She smiles at that laugh, the blonde reaching up to brush some hair behind her ear as she does. "It's really like that," she agrees. "I always figured I would eventually, but it was pretty different once it actually happened. But I never liked being alone that much anyway." That was sure how it seemed of her in high school, probably.
"You and Rena really seem to be doing great," she reflects. "Living together now... That's a big step, too."

"There's always next time. ...Though depending on when 'next time' is, we might need to be the ones who go to you." Anita considers with a shrug, and then smiles. "...Yeah. I owe it a lot. ...Even if it sometimes scolds me for staying up too late.
Anita shoots Haro a look(playfully, of course). In response, Haro hops once, indignantly.
"Bedtime is important! Important!" Haro replies, and Anita laughs before looking Eight's way. Her smile becomes fond as Eight recounts her own experiences.
"Yeah, that's the feeling I got." Anita agrees with a nod. It's true - it seemed that way to her. "I guess life always has ways of surprising us, huh?"
Anita laughs, a bit, before nodding.
"Yeah, things really are going great." She agrees, and then considers for a moment. "We've been thinking about what step we should take next, too. Though, uh, we're thinking we'll give it just a bit before we do anything big. But we are thinking."

"...That's true too," Eight says with a laugh. "Kind of hopefully soon. I can feel them getting close." She sighs. But, "Haha. Well, you do stay up pretty late, don't you?"
Bedtime! "Right. I have to worry about bedtime lately too..."
But life, "It does. I never expected... I mean, I expected Rena," she says. "I've felt that way about her for a long time. But I didn't expect Lavhi to be more than fun."
She smiles back. "Yeah? I'd love to hear what you're thinking, but if you want to keep it between yourselves that's obviously fine."
"Me... Well. I'm already thinking ahead to 'next time'," Eight admits, resting her hands about her belly. "Hopefully, anyway. ...But not soon. There's too much to do."

Eight laughs, and Anita laughs along with her.
"Soon, huh...? You must be pretty excited." Anita comments with a smile. "I know I'm looking forward to meeting them."
As for bedtime, Anita nods.
"When I can get away with it, yeah." She confirms, then laughs a little. "Yeah, I guess you would..."
Eight continues and Anita - smirking just slightly as Eight mentions Rena - nods.
"A lot more, apparently." She comments with a smirk. "I'm still really happy for you both. I can tell how much you two care."
She nods, then.
"Well... Rena was mentioning how she wanted to get a place together in Orb sometime, once things... settle down a little. I thought it was a good idea. Orb's cool and I think it'd be good for both of us to have a safe place we can settle." Anita replies... and then, she smirks.
"'Next time', huh? Wow, already?" Anita teases gently, and then nods, expression softening. "Yeah, you're gonna have a lot on your plate pretty soon... Just remember that you can always give me a shout if you end up needing a second pair of hands for anything."

"I'm really excited," Eight agrees, still smiling. "I'm looking forward to it so much." She laughs along on beddtimes though. She's looking forward to showing them to Anita, too. And, well... maybe she'll get to sleep eventually, after that.
"Thanks. I... I'm really happy." She looks down at her ring again. "It's like I'm getting what I always wanted."
But Rena? "Oh, that's a great idea! You really need a home that isn't just the ship, for all that I love having everyone here. A safe place to 'settle'... I look forward to visiting, when you do it."
Eight accepts the teasing good-naturedly. "Obviously I might change my mind, but... I want a bunch of them, right? This whole experience... even through the pain, and the gross parts, I feel... wonderful. It's amazing to be able to do this."
"But I'll remember that for sure. I trust you more than almost anyone, after all."
"And Haro may not have hands exactly, but I'll be counting on you, too," she says to the sea-green Haro, "To train mine right..."

Anita grins. It's good to see Eight so excited. She smiles, then. Everything Eight's always wanted...
"Yeah. You definitely deserve this, after everything." Anita replies. The Kakapo Squadron Haro hops up between them and Anita shifts to give it room, offering it a small pat.
"Yeah, we were talking about that. We both kind of agreed that... well, yeah, we love the Ra Mari II, it's great, but there are some things you can't get away from here. So having that opportunity is good for both of us." Anita agrees, then grins. "I look forward to when we can show it off."
Eight wants a bunch, though.Somehow, this doesn't surprise Anita.
"I'm glad you're still so enthusiastic about it." Anita replies. "Here's hoping then, huh?"
Eight trusts her more than almost anyone... Anita can't help but feel a little proud to hear that.
"Thanks." Anita replies with a grin. Haro, meanwhile, looks proud when Eight says she'll be counting on it, too.
"I'll do my best!" It chirps in response.

"Thanks," Eight says. "A lot of people don't get good things that they deserve. That's why... I'm still going to try to keep balancing the fight with all this." Her family; her friends; her life. She reaches out to pat the Kakapo Squadron Haro too.
"Yes," Eight answers, with a smile. "It'll be great. I'm sure of it. And maybe your Haro Shrine will get even bigger..."
Eight laughs. "Yeah. Of course, maybe by next time I'll be good enough at knitting that it won't just be mostly frustrating when I need something to do with my hands..." That she doesn't have space to just run around for, with. "Oh, but Leina got me this gift certificate for hobby shop stuff, so I might try another Haro, too... Lavhi's shown you some pictures of the one he left with his family, I think?"
But Eight smiles. "Thanks, Haro."

<poem> "Yeah. I'm sure it'll be tough sometimes... but it's good to remember you're still a person, too." Anita replies with a nod.
Anita grins, then, as Eight says their place will be great.
"Oh, you bet. I've even got some ideas on how to make it better. Maybe throw in a few Haro-themed chairs..." Anita replies consideringly. It's hard to tell if she's serious or not...
But, when Eight laughs, Anita laughs right along with her.
"That's good! Practice definitely helps. I know crafts really did a lot to help me get some dexterity back into my hands, so it'll probably be good for you, too." Anita replies, and then nods. "Oh, that's fun... that's something you could do together, too. And yeah, he did!"
Eight's thanks causes Haro to roll around a bit, pleased, and Anita chuckles. Look like this has been good for everyone...
