[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: Why are you even still in town? You know Utsugi lied to me. Or at least didn't tell me the whole story about why she wanted to help.

[VERTEX] Ennil El: Yeah. Sorry about that... I really was hoping you'd get what you wanted. I was on my way out, actually... But I happened to walk by. You didn't mention you had friends there! And you should really try the cake.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: Stuff like that isn't for me. Glad you liked it though. And yeah. The house next door is mine actually. Huge coincidence right
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Was wondering about that. "Coincidence", I mean. I didn't crash anywhere near your place OR that junk shop...
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Probably just dumb luck, right? But I didn't see any other shops like that the whole time I was walking.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: It's a convenient place to live I guess. Not that it really matters anymore

[VERTEX] Ennil El: I got a better picture of what you were up to from your friends

[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: I have nothing but time. It's not like anything is happening after the kaiju again
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Some kind of kaiju that convinced them whatever it was that made them want to fight wasn't worth it. That they'd be better off giving up and trying to live here.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: oh that. That's kinda. half of it.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: I just wanted them to understand me. And for a while I think they did
[VERTEX] Ennil El: I think so too. You wanna see what I bought? I mean. Made, I guess. But I got the parts there.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: Sure
[VERTEX] Ennil El: They had this big goofy half-made bear. Couldn't just leave him out to dry. Honestly, he reminded me of someone. But the fun stuff is:

[VERTEX] Ennil El: I mean. I am a little. I had this really nice outfit I put together for a wedding - but I don't think I got any pictures before it got torched. Shame. But now that I'm friends with your friends, I wanted a memento.
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Since we all want the same thing for once.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: And what's that
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Making sure you get out of this alive. Everyone there wanted to save you, even after everything.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: The only way this ends for me is if I kill a Vessel of Light. That's what kaiju are for.
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Hmm. No 'my kaiju'. No 'the kaiju'.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: yeah, and?
[VERTEX] Ennil El: I mean, you tell me. I don't get all this kaiju stuff. I thought of picking some up, but it was all like. Disc 2 of 6, and then when I looked it up there were like twenty shows? I need an expert.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: I used to think that kaiju existed to want something... then want something and die for wanting it
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: but neither of those is quite right
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: Kaiju live and die to be defeated.
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Sounds pretty lonely.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: They can't exist in a world with people in it. It's better that way. I still think that
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Hmmm... well, you'll have to show me, sometime. I want to understand it better. And I know, you're gonna say, "I won't be doing anything soon" or something dramatic like that
[VERTEX] Ennil El: But you said it yourself. As long as you're like this: You're gonna lose.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: Yeah, exactly. ... wait. what are you getting at
[VERTEX] Ennil El: Your friends want to save you. And they're pretty serious about it. So if it's a fight between the people who want you to exist and you...
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: I guess I'll have to cheat then... I don't know how though. I'd need to know a lot more about how Hibiki becomes Gridman
[VERTEX] Ennil El: He's-- Oh. Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I thought maybe it was one of those guys in the suits. Well, I've never seen him do it.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: ... I guess it has to become a different... kind of fight. For it to end that way.
[VERTEX] Ennil El: I'd tell you not to do anything dumb, like my best friend. But neither of us are very good at listening so... I'm just gonna wish you luck. You should check in at Aya - seems like they usually have what you need.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: I can't... go there. Not this week unless. I get a way better reason
[VERTEX] Ennil El: ...Alright. They'd be happy to see you. And, even though I know making plans seems stupid right now -- if we're both still around in a few months, you gotta pick a show for us. I'm tired of not understanding.
[VERTEX] Akane Shinjo: That's the PROBLEM. Does EVERYONE who gets that stuff in their brain get this dense or is it just self-selecting
