A supranational union formed before the modern Organization of African Consolidation. Generally seen as having a more oligarchic bent than its modern counterpart, the South African Union fractured into five smaller unions due to engineered conflicts during the early Universal Century. These unions in turn formed the OAC, a looser and more democratic African coalition.
