Getter Rays

Getter Rays are a form of background radiation in the universe theorized to apply subtle pressure toward evolution on living beings. A Getter Core traps Getter Rays and processes them into a state usable for more conventional energy-generation applications. Some nonhuman creatures are particularly vulnerable to Getter Rays due to an unusual relationship with the energy of evolution.
