While an I-Field is any lattice of Minovsky particles, including the ones used in Minovsky Craft flight systems or beam sabers, the term usually refers to the I-Field Barrier generated by some mobile armors. A typical I-Field Barrier will substantially neutralize beam weaponry. Some methods of generating an I-Field Barrier, such as that deployed by the RX-93 Nu Gundam, create a more generalized but weaker defensive structure.
