<poem>

Rumors have been on the rise lately about Sheryl Nome--specifically, about her having been discharged from the hospital, but not having ever arrived home. Reporters and paparazzi have camped out at the Frontier hospital where Sheryl was previously staying, and after a period of silence, one of them managed to find a scoop that Sheryl had already been discharged.

However, investigation at the high-rise where she lives indicated that she never actually returned home. Speculation says that she may have chosen to finish the rest of her physical therapy at another location, including a secret second home somewhere else, but several people have spoken up on social media that they saw Sheryl Nome or a woman dressed like her with a black-haired woman, both of them rushing through the shuttleport area of Frontier. Some of them shared photos, even, though nothing clear or conclusive; the woman that's supposedly Sheryl is dressed in a blue dress she's been known to wear as part of her casual garb, but her hair is short and covered by a beret, she's wearing shades, and she has a black face mask on.

What *has* been clear is the identity if the woman with her, who's dressed in long dark blue coat with pants with an orange scrunchie on her right wrist. Investigators have done a deep net search, and it turns out this woman is Rikka Takarada, who is known amongst Sheryl fans as the star of a high-quality amateur music video of Sheryl Nome's song Obelisk, which appeared on her fourth EP, Daybreak -Obelisque-. This lends a lot of credence to the it-was-Sheryl theories.

Still, despite the lack of confirmation, it's obviously more interesting if it actually is the Galactic Fairy, so only a few people are pointing out there's no real proof it really was Sheryl. For those who *are* on the it-was-Sheryl train, they've been chattering excitedly about if Sheryl has run away with a new girlfriend, or if she was kidnapped, or if she's drumming up hype for a new record or something similar.

Some, though, are scoffing at the whole thing, saying that Sheryl's time is over and the new It Girl is Ranka Lee, and if it really *was* Sheryl, she's just making a pathetic attempt at a comeback. It's certainly true the Songstress of Hope has been trending hard for a long while.

Reporters attempted to reach out to Sheryl's manager about all this, but she could not be reached for comment.
