Somnium

A Somnium ("dream") is a being that can feed off the remnants left behind by someone afflicted by Algernon. Somniums emerged in the historical record roughly 12,000 years ago.

Somniums communicate using Quantum Brainwaves exclusively. Somniums also spend much of their time in a space-time location not perceptible by most humans.

Humans who have perceived Somniums have typically used the term Betterman to refer to them.
