A Zonder is the fusion of a sentient being and a piece of Zonder Metal. Zonders grow by incorporating ambient matter into themselves, and draw power from stress and other negative emotions. The sentient being can be purified of this influence by various proprietary techniques currently known to the Gutsy Global Guard.
Humanity fought the Zonders roughly 9 years ago, concurrent with the Gryps Conflict and the beginnings of the First Neo Zeon Conflict; this battle is generally dubbed the Primeval War. They were defeated by the Gutsy Geoid Guard, a defense organization employing alien technology.
