An energy capacitor, or E-CAP, stores Minovsky particles in quantities a normal mobile suit reactor would not be able to generate, in turn enabling the use of mega particle weaponry. Some mobile suits integrate E-CAPs into the core frame. Others integrate them into weapons directly, allowing them to be swapped out like weapon magazines; in this case, they are instead called E-Pacs.
