New Yark was a major Britannian metropolitan area covering a significant portion of the Britannian Northeast. During the One Year War, New Yark was occupied by the Principality of Zeon for several months.

In 0091, New Yark was destroyed in fighting between Getter Robo and the [[Dinosaur Empire]]. Britannia extracted significant reparations and other concessions from the OCU for the destruction, though it is nearly universally agreed that roughly 90% of the loss of life and infrastructure (other than that of the physical land mass of New Yark itself) had already occurred by the time Getter Robo was detonated.
